About forex
The foreign exchange market is the largest financial market in the world, trading around the clock from Sunday evening to Friday afternoon (US Eastern time). The US dollar is on one side of almost 90% of all trades, according to the BIS Triennial Survey.
Currency pairs are driven primarily by the relative outlook for central banks, growth and inflation between two economies, along with global risk sentiment. Activity follows the sun through the Sydney, Tokyo, London and New York sessions.
